About Me
From Spreadsheets to Code
I've always enjoyed writing formulas in Excel. There's something satisfying about making a spreadsheet do exactly what you want.
In 2022, my dad needed some help with accounting for his business. I very quickly realized just how repetitive actual "accounting" work is. The same tasks, over and over. Manually copying data from one system to another by hand. I thought that there had to be a better way. That's when I decided to learn Python.
This was before chatGPT and the other big LLMs, so it was a bit more difficult than it would be if I had access to them today, but I was surprised how quickly I was able to learn. After a month of trial and error I was able to build a tool that basically automated the entire process of what I was asked to do. Being able to build something that was able to AUTOMATICALLY do something I was manually doing and with practically 100% accuracy was unbelievably gratifying
Now I am constantly chasing that feeling. I absolutely love building things that I think people will find useful and make their day-to-day life easier. Whether its just geneal automation, data transformation, or even some small-scale programs like a staff scheduling system, I love the challenge of building something that can help someone else.
Self-Taught
I learned Python and JavaScript on my own, building projects that solve real problems. Coding is my creative outlet.
Practical Projects
I focus on building software people actually use. No gimmicks—just functional software that people will hopefully find useful.
Why This Site Exists
I code for fun.
This isn't a portfolio site. It's a home for the smaller projects and APIs I build that don't need their own dedicated infrastructure.
If you're here, you probably found one of those projects. Feel free to poke around.
